Fall in love on the reality show, Forever

My favorite thing about The Fiction of Forever? Kiley and Gunner. I’ve never read a book where the heroine is actively trying to get her one-true-love to date someone else. Yes. It’s for a reality show. Yes. Both Kiley and Gunner are in denial about their feelings for each other. And yes! The shenanigans that ensue when Gunner tries to date other women are fun—and touching. This is another A+, gold star book by author Brinda Berry.

This was my first Brinda Berry book but will certainly not be my last! I devoured this book in one sitting. The story was beautifully written and refreshing original. Kiley and Gunner go way back, realizing their attraction early on during high school, but fate rips them apart only to place them face to face again years later. Only now she is engaged and he thinks she is a spoiled brat. Kiley’s fiancé is a prick. He expects her to kiss his ass while he goes off to become some big fancy lawyer. Gunner owns a successful landscaping business and has been hired by Kiley’s dad to do some work at his mansion. Only thing is he wasn’t planning on haven’t to deal with Kiley, but he finds out that she isn’t the spoiled brat he thought she was as the two are forced to spend more and more time together. After a huge fight Kiley tells her fiancé to kiss her ass and finds herself running into the arms of Gunner. There is only one problem…Forever. The reality show her dad owns. She has been casted as the matchmaker and the one and only Gunner Parrish will be the star bachelor this season. Her job is to find compatible women to pair him with. Gunner unknowingly compares all of his potential dates to Kiley and finds them all lacking. After a huge public scandal Kiley and her matchmaking status is on the line as she forced to watch Gunner fall in love with someone else. But the heart wants what it wants and in the end Gunner must choose. Favorite Scene: The end (insert swoon) Favorite Quotes: I should tell her I need to wash my Jeep. Or organize my laundry.
